This tool functions like a slide ruler. Place a scale card into the sleeve and align and view the information through the Scale Seeker sleeve window. Instructions are listed on the back.

Operational instructions:

Slide the scale card into the Scale Seeker sleeve. Align the numbered "tonic note" with the desired key (letter) and start playing. It's very simple to use.
The "tonic note" refers to the 1st note of the desired scale key. Think of it as a starting point labeled on each scale card(i.e. The Minor Pentatonic scale). The sleeve has a listing of key letters below the viewing window; F, F#\Gb, G, G#\Ab and so on. Aligning the tonic note (listed as the # "1") with the desired key(i.e. A)will allow you to view the scale (Minor Pentatonic) across an entire 12 fret range.
